I teamed up with Locura, a Spanish/Latin band from San Francisco to create a press video for their upcoming CD release as well as for general promotion. We covered a couple of live events as well as did some interviews so people can get to know the band better. A lot of hard work on everyone’s part but it was really fun to see the results!
I’ve worked with Jeff at thecoolvegetarian.com on a few pieces before and this was an opportunity to generate some promotion for the ALIVE events, a mind/body/spirit type of gathering. I spent several days at Occupy Oakland in solidarity with the people there, which culminated into a General Strike in Oakland. World Food Day, October 16th, is a worldwide event designed to increase awareness, understanding and informed, year-around action to alleviate hunger. One of the topics in question was the labeling of genetically engineered foods. Regardless of your stance on the topic, many people want any genetically engineered foods in their foods to be labeled so they can have a clear choice of what they are eating. My second in a series of videos I am producing/directing/filming/editing for LabelGMOs.org, a political action committee in California. Very fun work and very satisfying to work with like minded individuals who are passionate about doing what we think is the right thing.
